We are a training Practice, which means that we usually have one to two GP Trainees working with us, staying for a 6 to 12 month period. They are experienced hospital doctors who are preparing for a career in General Practice. As part of their training, the doctors (especially the GP Trainees) sometimes record their consultations on video. The receptionist will tell you if the doctor is doing this, and the camera will only be switched on if you sign a form giving your permission. The recording is treated confidentially, will only be viewed by doctors, is kept very safely and is erased within a year.
